A new Sergeant is leading the Safer Neighbourhood policing team in Derby City Centre.
Sgt. Brian Clifton, who is in his thirteenth year of policing has taken over the reins from Richard Buxton who has moved to a force project role at Ripley.
Brian, initially joined Nottinghamshire Police and transferred to Derbyshire eight years ago. His roles have included the management of response teams in Ilkeston and Derby and have also seen him become a champion in training officers in Restorative Justice.
Sgt. Clifton said: “My aim is for us to continue putting the community at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to continue to work with residents, businesses and partner agencies to help find longer term solutions to local community concerns.”
“My team have a wealth of experience which they use to ensure Derby City continues to be a safe place to visit, shop and work.”
