Police investigating the murder of a 21 year old woman in Evesham Road, Redditch yesterday (Saturday 15 March) today named her as Kirsty Wright. Kirsty was taken to hospital yesterday with serious stab wounds and died this morning (Sunday March 16).
A 29 year old male arrested at the scene remains in custody and police are not searching for any other suspects at this time.
Superintendent Kevin Purcell, North Worcestershire Police Commander said: “I would like to reassure the community that these incidents are rare and that Redditch is a safe place to live, work and visit. We will work with the community to bring the offender to justice and support the family, who my thoughts are with at this difficult time.”
