POLICE have tonight (Tuesday 16 July) named the teenager killed in a Birmingham park yesterday evening as Hassan Mahmood.
The 15-year-old was stabbed near Oaklands Park in Wash Lane, South Yardley shortly before 6pm following what officers believe to have been a fight between two groups of young people.
Hassan was taken to hospital where he died a short time later. A post mortem is due to take place tomorrow (Wednesday).
Two 16-year-old boys from Birmingham remain in custody this evening after being arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday. Two other lads aged 15 and 17, who were also arrested, have been released without charge.
