Police today made a fresh appeal for witnesses of an assault at a Shrewsbury nightclub which left a man with a broken jaw and nose.
The 30-year-old was repeatedly punched by a man inside “The Cellars” at the Buttermarket nightclub in Howard Street at around 2.30am on Saturday, 10th May.
He was treated at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
Detective Constable Sue Jones, the investigating officer, said: “I have spoken to a number of people with regard to this assault but I am anxious to hear from anyone else who witnessed any part of the incident.
“I would ask them to call me at Shrewsbury police station on 101 and quote the reference number 22fa/28205g/14.”
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault, causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been given police bail with conditions while inquiries continue.
