Officers investigating the alleged robberies of two men in Derby are appealing for witnesses.
At around 10pm on Sunday, August 24, a man was walking along Ashbourne Road, Derby when he was approached by a group of five men.
The victim was asked for his phone and, when he refused, he was punched in the face several times and threatened with a knife. The victim managed to flee and nothing was stolen.
Officers are keen to speak to two women who are believed to have been in the area around the time of the incident.
Shortly after 10pm the same evening, a man was walking along Mackworth Road in Derby, when a group of five men demanded the victim’s mobile phone and wallet and threatened him with a knife. The victim handed over the property and the offenders ran off.
A 16-year-old boy and two men aged 18 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of robbery in connection with the incidents, and have been bailed pending further inquiries.
