A man is to stand before Sandwell magistrates today (Tuesday 18 April) accused of the murder of a man in Smethwick.
Carpenter, Douane Brown, aged 39 from Bickington Road, Birmingham, was arrested on Sunday evening by detectives investigating a murder at an internet café in Smethwick.
He is also charged with possession of a knife in public.
Although not yet formally identified the victim has been named as Horace Williams, aged 36 and from West Bromwich.
He died from a single stab wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lead investigator, Detective Inspector Justin Spanner, said: “Our thoughts remain with Mr Williams’ family at this sad time.
“I would urge anyone who has yet to come forward with information to assist the investigation to call my team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”...
