Stephen Skepper, of Sleaford Road in Bracebridge Heath, Lincoln, was convicted of historic offences dating back to the early 1990s of gross indecency with a child, possession of a number of illegal images, and possession of a prohibited image.
An investigation began once his offences were reported to police by the victim.
The images were also discovered following his arrest in 2012.
At Lincoln Crown Court on Tuesday April 19 he was sentenced to 22 months in prison, the judge imposed a 10 year sexual harm prevention order, and Skepper was ordered to sign the Sex Offenders register for 10 years.
