Detectives investigating the death of Birmingham teenager Kenichi Phillips in March have arrested a second person on suspicion of his murder.
Police detained the 17-year-old at around 7am this morning at an address in Smethwick and he currently remains in custody.
Kenichi, aged 18, was shot dead as he sat in a black Seat Leon on St Marks Crescent in the Ladywood area of the city just before 7pm on Thursday 17 March.
A 22-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder the day after the shooting is still on police bail pending further enquiries.
Detective Inspector Jim Munro has re-appealed for information about the killing.
He said: “Our investigation continues and I still want to hear from anyone who may be able to assist us as we try to get justice for Kenichi and his family.
